In Pristina, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron expressed his pride in the UK's support for Kosovo and the decision and position to recognize its sovereignty and independence, the Kosovo government announced, Koha reported.
"I am here to reinforce the fact that we support you. We want to help you in terms of security, economic development, governance and all the issues you are facing. We are long-term supporters of Kosovo and will continue to be so." Cameron said at the start of a working dinner with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
"Above all, the most important thing is to build a country where everyone feels they have a secure future, all communities," Cameron stressed, adding that Britain will also help in efforts for international recognition.
The British diplomat emphasized the importance of stability in the Western Balkans, in which he added that Britain is also investing.
"We are big supporters of independence, sovereignty and the right of Kosovo to be fully recognized by others as a sovereign state. Of course, we will help you in the fight for recognition in international forums, which is important and you deserve it," added the British foreign minister minister./BGNES
