Bosnian Serb leader to attend BRICS summit in Kazan

Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik announced that he will participate in the upcoming BRICS summit to be held in Kazan from October 22-24, Serbian media reported.

"I received an invitation and I will go to Kazan, I will be in Kazan on 19 October. RS does not have international capacity, but it is very important for us that in this capacity we can be observers of this meeting and part of this overall environment," Dodik said.

He believes he will meet some important people in Kazan. The RS President added that BRICS has not been branded in the West as an anti-Western creation, although there is fear of this organisation, although it is the legitimate right of countries to decide whether to join it.

With regard to the invitation received by the President of Serbia to participate in BRICS, Dodik pointed out that official Belgrade and Aleksandar Vucic should consider all the elements important for the country.

Dodik said that he knows that when he goes to the BRICS summit there will be propaganda against him again, perhaps new sanctions will be introduced. He added that he had no problem meeting with any of the Western leaders. | BGNES
