Belgrade suspects a worldwide conspiracy to assassinate President Vucic

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin called on authorities to increase security measures for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his family.

"Through media pressure, they too often try to force them to give up the protection of the state and to be even easier targets," Vulin was quoted as saying by Politika newspaper.

On the occasion of the assassination of Donald Trump, Vulin pointed out that in just a few months there was an "assassination of the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and the assassination of the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi".

"It is no coincidence that all (targets) advocate a different world and peace in Ukraine," said the right-hand man of the Serbian head of state.

"Let Vucic and all those who have the courage to fight for freedom get ready. The attempt to kill former President Trump is an expression of permitted and encouraged hatred, the same hatred that is encouraged and freely expressed against Vucic and Serbia," said also Alexander Vulin.

BGNES recalls that in 2023, Alexander Vulin was sanctioned by the US for drug trafficking, illegal arms deals, corruption and channeling Russian interests in the Balkans. Within the same year, he was awarded the Order of the Russian Federation, personally by the director of the Russian Federal Security Service and a general in the Russian army, Alexander Bortnikov. | BGNES
