Influencer Andrew Tate will be extradited to the UK on sex crime charges. This will happen only after his case for human trafficking and other charges in Romania is over, AFP reported.
US-born Briton Tate and his brother Tristan were released from Romanian custody following their arrest on March 11 on a British warrant, which came as they await trial on the Romanian charges.
The British warrant for the influencer with millions of internet followers stems from claims by four women who accused him of sexual assault in Britain.
The brothers will remain under the supervision of the Romanian court pending a new court decision, which is expected on March 12.
During the court hearing in Bucharest, Andrew Tate dismissed the charges brought against him in the UK as "sloppy" and "more than 10 years old", saying he and his brother did not want to be extradited.
The brothers, who maintain their innocence, are accused of setting up an organized crime network in Romania as well as the US and UK in early 2021.
They have been charged with human trafficking, rape and the creation of a criminal group for the sexual exploitation of women.
They allegedly forced women to perform pornographic acts in exchange for "significant financial benefits".
After the ruling, the brothers' spokesman, Matea Petrescu, said the men "will continue to comply with the judicial measures introduced in Romania, which allow them to travel around the country".
They were previously in custody on the Romanian charges, but in August 2023 they were released under judicial supervision./BGNES
