The first estimated results from today's early parliamentary elections in Serbia show President Aleksandar Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) winning 46.6 percent of the vote.
In second place is the coalition "Serbia against violence" with 23 percent.
This is indicated by the results of CESID/IPSOS based on 65.1% of the votes cast.
In third position is the "Serbian Socialist Party" (SPP) of Ivica Dacic with 6.9 percent.
The NADA coalition received 4.8 percent of the votes. If this trend is maintained in the 250-seat parliament, the SPP will have 128 mandates. "Serbia against violence" 63 mandates. SSP 19 mandates, and NADA 13 mandates.
Dr. Branimir Nestorovic's formation will also enter the parliament with 4.8 percent or 13 parliamentary seats.
The Hungarian minority will have 6 mandates. The Coalition "Justice and Reconciliation and Democratic Union" of Croats in Vojvodina 3 mandates. The formation of Sulejman Ugljanin - 2 mandates. Shaip Kamberi and the Russian Party will have one mandate each.
A total of 18 parties and unions fought for the support of the 6.5 million electorate for 250 seats in parliament. The threshold for entering the parliament is 3% of the votes. The polling stations closed at 20:00 local time (21:00 Bulgarian time).
Vote observers reported irregularities, including the orderly arrival of voters at polling stations, photographing of ballots and procedural errors.
The headquarters of the opposition coalition "Serbia Against Violence" announced after the end of the election day that over 450 cases of violations of electoral rights were documented during the day.
The Republican Electoral Commission indicated that in the north of Serbia, election observers were attacked by the monitoring body CRTA. A person was later arrested in connection with the incident, police said in a statement. /BGNES
